Pssssst!...Now offering design consultation!

The secret is out: Serda Remodeling now has a design consultant on staff to help you identify your style and assemble a cohesive design plan for the new showpiece room in your home. What’s even better? These services start at just $500.00 per project. While not everyone needs design consultation services, many of our clients do enjoy having an expert opinion. Can you identify with any of these scenarios?

  •  You like white kitchens, but you don’t want to have the same kitchen as everyone else. We can help you create something beautiful and unique by pulling in unique accents to set your home apart.

  •  You bought a well-cared-for home at a good price in a great location, but its dated 1980’s finishes don’t jive with your beloved mid-century modern furniture. We can help you bring in neutral cabinets, hardware, and finishes to create the perfect palette to showcase your lively décor.

  •  You’ve got a beautiful 1930’s home in a historic Minneapolis neighborhood. You want to open it up and make your space more functional while staying true to the home’s original charm. We can replicate your home’s historically significant details and bring in original design elements to make your kitchen or bathroom feel like it’s been there all along (but better!).

  •  You know what you don’t like, but deciding what you DO like is a bit harder. We can show you a variety of styles, colors, and finishes to help you hone in on your favorite designs.

  •  You’d like to update your home, but you plan to sell it in a few years. We can help you design a functional space in an updated style that both you and future buyers will love!

Chances are, if you’re considering a kitchen or bathroom renovation, you can identify with at least one of these situations. Our design consultant has helped clients through each of these scenarios, and more!  So, what does the basic design consultation package and process look like?

After signing a contract with Serda Remodeling for a full kitchen or bathroom remodel, you’ll have a virtual meeting with your project manager and design consultant. During this meeting, the design consultant will listen to your needs and desires for the renovation. It’s great if you have a few ideas of rooms you like, but if not, we’ve got an extensive catalog of styles to help you find what you’re looking for. We’ve got your best interests at heart for style, functionality, value, and, if applicable, resale value.

Next, the design consultant will go to work shopping for you.  She’ll pull together two to three flexible design options, including suggestions for the cabinet color, countertop, backsplash, cabinet pulls, faucet, wall color, and flooring, as needed. (Lighting suggestions are also included, once you’ve decided on some of the other design elements.)

After shopping and planning, your design consultant will meet with you and your project manager at our showroom to present the design options. At this meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to see and touch the materials, and make modifications to the suggestions, if needed. Some clients are able to make a decision on the design options during this meeting, while others need to mull it over for a few days.

Once you’ve made your final decisions and communicated them to the design consultant and project manager, you’ll receive a document summarizing your design choices and lighting suggestions. At this point, you can relax, because your hard work is done, and it’s time for the project to begin!

Additional design services are available upon request. If you have needs beyond what’s included in the basic package outlined above, please discuss them with your project manager and design consultant.
